Q: How much does the procedure cost?
Hair restoration surgery has become very affordable. The cost of each procedure varies with the extent of thinning area to be restored, and is determined by Dr. Vories during your consultation. A typical patient's restoration cost ranges between $6000 and $10,000, with 24 month no interest financing available from Care Credit and Chase Health Advance.

Our 2011 surgical fee is $5.00 per graft

Minimum surgical fee (800 grafts) is $4000.00. Here is a general guide to consider:

1200 grafts (2400 hairs)- $6000.00 - usually hairline cases only.
2400 grafts (4800 hairs)- $12,000 -usually covering hairline and mid-scalp.
3000 grafts (6000 hairs) -$15,000.00 -usually covering hairline, mid-scalp and crown.

In all FUE cases Dr. Vories performs all extractions and places all grafts.

Eyebrow Restoration- $3000 per brow.

Office visits for non-surgical patients $120.00.




Q: Does Carolina Hair Surgery offer Travel Reimbursement to Out-Of-Town Patients?
Yes, we do.

Carolina Hair Surgery is pleased to offer the following travel reimbursement program: for our patients who travel more than 100 miles to our clinic. CHS will reimburse actual travel expenses up to 5% of the surgical fees(with a maximum of $300). Please contact the clinic directly to discuss your travel arrangements. No other surgery discounts will be applied.



Q: Does Carolina Hair Surgery offer the DNA genetic test for hair loss and what does it predict?
Yes, we offer HairDX genetic testing in our office and it predicts your risk for hair loss or thinning. This gives you the opportunity for the earliest medical intervention possible, before you see any visible signs of hair loss.



Q: How long has Dr. Vories been performing hair restoration procedures?
Dr. Vories has performed hair restoration surgery since 2002. His state-of-the-art facility opened in March, 2004 and is the only dedicated, full-time surgical hair restoration facility in South Carolina.



Q: What is Dr. Vories background?
Michael Vories, MD, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). He is the only doctor in South Carolina with this distinction. Visit www.abhrs.com He graduated with distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He also completed his residency at the University of Kentucky and served with National Health Service Corp from 1998-2001. He is a hair restoration patient himself.



Q: Who will perform my initial consultation, procedure and follow up?
Dr. Vories will meet with you -- or if you prefer-- you and your spouse for the initial consultation, which is complimentary. Together, you will discuss your expectations, a recommended course of action and a treatment plan. On the day of your procedure you'll meet other members of our surgical team, comprised of three surgical technicians. Dr. Vories is involved at every stage of the process and follow-ups will be with him as well.



Q: Will my results look Pluggy?
Absolutely not. The "Pluggy / Baby Doll" look of methods used decades ago was caused by grouping large numbers of hair follicles and placing those groups some distance from each other. The Transfollic Technique® precisely transplants individual hair follicles, which restores a soft, closely-spaced and natural looking hairline.
